My Story

I didn't set out to build a business. I set out to survive a season of life nobody really prepares you for: caring for my Daddy 24/7 for more than five years now, while still showing up for work, keeping a home running, and trying not to lose myself somewhere in between. I never raised kids of my own, but these days I'm raising two: Daddy, and Punkin.

Punkin (Cassie on paper) didn't adopt us. She already had Daddy wrapped around her little paw long before she moved in. Daddy and I are both allergic to cats, so I'll be honest, I wasn't thrilled at first. But after losing Mama, I couldn't let Daddy lose his best friend too. So we take our allergy meds every day, and that little cat has stolen both our hearts and made our little family complete.

Somewhere in the middle of doctor's appointments, medication schedules, hard conversations, and the quiet exhaustion nobody sees, I realized something: the caregiving world was full of clinical checklists, but almost nobody was talking to me like a real person going through a real thing.

I looked for community and came up empty. I looked for resources that felt like they understood the emotional weight of it — not just the logistics — and mostly found silence. So I decided to build the thing I wished existed.

Serenity & Sweet Tea is named for what I needed most in those hard seasons: a little bit of peace, and someone to sit with me a while. That's what I want this place to be for you — a porch to come sit on, sweet tea in hand, where the light's always left on for whoever needs it.

Why I Do This

My mission is simple: to give caregivers the resources, community, and honest support I couldn't find at the start of my own journey — so nobody has to figure this out as alone as I did.

If any of this sounds like your life right now, I'm glad you found your way here. Come sit a while.
